How pricing works
Every system is built for one business, and so is the price. There is no price list, but there is a way of pricing, and all of it is on this page: what’s free, what you pay and when, and how the monthly price is worked out if you want us to keep looking after it.
1The audit
FreeYou walk us through a typical day — on a call, on a video call where you show us your screen, or we come out to you. We're looking for where we can help.
2The plan
FreeTwo pages at most, in writing: what we'd build, what we'd leave alone, one fixed price, whether it needs looking after and what that costs, and how you pay. The price holds for 30 days.
3The go-ahead
50% up frontIf you want it, 50% of the build price is paid before we start. That deposit is non-refundable — it pays for the work that begins the day you say yes.
4The handover
The other 50%You pay the rest when it's working, not before. It runs in accounts in your name, we walk you through it once, and the user guide covers the rest. For 30 days anything we built that doesn't do what the plan said gets fixed for nothing.
What does a build cost? One number, in your plan. For a rough idea: we expect most first builds to land between £400 and £2000. That’s our estimate, not a record — we’ll swap it for real numbers once there are a few builds to count.
Self-managed
£0/moNothing more to pay. It’s your system, in your accounts, with the user guide to go with it.
For the first 30 days, anything we built that doesn’t do what the plan said is fixed for nothing. That covers fixes, not changes.
After the first 30 days of it being live, fixes and changes are both quoted as work and fitted in alongside our other clients. We’ll tell you when we can get to it rather than pretend it’s the same day.
Sparx-managed
Starting at £49/moWe host it, keep an eye on it, and fix it for nothing if it breaks. Small changes are included. A big change to the system, or a new system, is a new project with its own plan.
If the fault is with a third party — your phone provider, Facebook, your accounts software — that’s not something we can fix. We’ll still look into it straight away and keep you posted until it’s sorted.
Reporting on what it’s doing is built as part of the project, so how detailed you want it shows in the build price, not the monthly. Reports made or changed as you go are priced in the plan too.
Paid monthly in advance. No minimum term — leave any month.
How the monthly price is worked out
£49 a month, plus £25 for each outside system it has to talk to — your accounts, your diary, your phone line, your Facebook page, your shop platform. For example, one that reads your diary and sends texts is £99— two outside systems. A system that talks to nothing but itself is £49. The number is in your plan, worked out the same way.
Why it’s extra per system: every outside system belongs to a third party. They can change it without telling either of us, and that’s where the fixing happens.
Prices last reviewed September 2026. What’s in your written plan is what you pay.
The audit and the plan are really free?
Yes. If nothing’s worth building, the plan says so and that’s the end of it. You don’t owe us anything for being told no.
Why is the deposit non-refundable?
Because it pays for work that starts the day you say yes. The other half only gets paid when the system works, so the risk is split: you can’t pay in full for nothing, and we can’t build for nothing.
What if the build takes longer than you thought?
That’s our problem, not yours. The price in the plan is the price. The one thing that changes it is you changing what you want mid-build, and that gets quoted before we do it, not after. If it needs something bought in your name — a phone number, hosting — you pay that at cost, and it’s listed in the plan.
What if it breaks and I'm not paying monthly?
In the first 30 days it’s fixed for nothing. After that, you ask us, we quote it, and it goes in the queue with our other work. We’ll give you an honest date. If you’d rather not wait, that’s what Sparx-managed is for: it’s fixed for nothing, and it’s our problem the day it breaks.
Do you guarantee it never goes down?
No, and we won’t put an uptime figure on this page. Most systems rely on outside services — your phone provider, Facebook, your accounts software — and if one of those goes down, we can’t fix it and we’re not responsible for it. What we can promise if you’re Sparx-managed: anything that goes wrong is looked into as a matter of urgency, and you’re kept up to date until it’s sorted. Fixing our part costs you nothing.
Will you promise it pays for itself?
No. We won’t put a figure on what you’ll save, because we’d be making it up. What we can do is count the hours in the audit — your hours, from your own day — put the price in the plan, and let you weigh one against the other.
Is VAT extra?
No. Sparx Innovations is not VAT-registered, so the price you see is the full price.
Your number comes in the plan, in writing.
Tell us what’s taking up your time and we’ll sort out a time to look. The audit and the plan cost nothing.
